I have had several requests to provide drawing services for those of you who do not have the time to learn or use a CAD program.
Designer Plus is capable of supporting an unlimited number of custom setups so I am adding this service. Because of the large number of variables your assistance is necessary to develop and make this a viable service. Please give me feedback as to what you need.
I will not be offering kitchen design services because of the large amount of personal information that I require in order to provide a kitchen design matched to your needs.
From 30 years in the business I know that costs are critical to your success. I could produce photo realistic views of your project, but also know that most of your bids will probably never see reality because many of the jobs you estimate are only shopping. A couple hundred bucks in drawing fees may very well kill your chance of a sale.

Delivery:
I can offer electronic delivery of finished documents or open files. See the download page for the free viewer that will allow you to print or view a DesignCAD drawing on your computer. I can also send drawings as An Adobe Acrobat PDF file which cannot be edited, or an AutoCAD file which is fully editable, not just printed, as well as DesignCAD's native file formats DW or DC. Drawings can be printed to scale via the DesignCAD viewer. Estimating and construction reports can be supplied as MS Excel files, exports to other formats from Excel, or PDFs. Parts labels can be supplied in MS Word file format ready to print on Avery Labels. Printing at your sited saves time and money. To check the quality of documents that you print yourself download the viewer, perspective drawing (2D), and the pdf of the same drawing.
Payments and Retainers:
The drawings in this section of the website were chosen so that a pricing value could be given here. A plan, elevation and the 3D view would cost $65US, a complete service through optimizing could reach $300 (original 3 views, some editing, more views, construction drawings, parts list, cutting list, labels and optimization of all parts). I charge by the hour so the more things needed the more it will cost. That being said, once the drawing is created it does not take very long to get other views. More complex or specialized jobs will take longer.
The least costly method will be by retainer - you make a deposit payment (check or credit card) and I will work until the deposit is depleted or job completed, you will receive a refund of any overpayment, or a request for further payment if necessary to finish the job. You will own the drawings done and can request them, at any point.
If you want I will "bid" the job and I will do the job for the stated price. This way you know what it will cost before work begins.
I accept checks, credit cards or even PayPal it is not a good idea to send cash. Payment is to be made before any work begins.
Specifications:
Obviously, if I am going to draw your job I need to know what you need. This will be a work in progress until the bugs have been worked out. As I see it now your needs break down into 3 major groups, each with specific needs that may or may not be necessary for the other.
- Consumer / Contractor
This group doesn't care about nomenclatures or construction details. They need something to take to the cabinet/kitchen shop in order to get prices so they can compare apples to apples. All they need is an elevation of each wall with gross (not detailed) dimensioning.
- Standardized Manufactured (modular) Cabinets.
Builders, dealers or consumers who use this construction type are faced with dealing with each manufacture's specifications. I can use generic construction and nomenclatures or customized to the brand you are using. Customized drawings using a specific construction method will require an extensive setup process, custom nomenclatures can be done easily. I will need to know each cabinets nomenclature in order to enter it in the drawing.
The custom shop, if the drawings are to be accurate, will need to have the construction details of the drawing match the way they will be built. I will be creating a question sheet for this purpose. These setups will cost between $30 and $75US depending on if you want manufacturing information for each construction type (one time fee / setup). Example:
